The 1971 RoadRunner arrived just in time for the pinnacle of the muscle car era. The body boasted an extensive re-design, however the high horsepower big block options remained.
This example is on display at FAST440 in Sunnyvale, Texas and features the optional "Air Grabber" hood along with the factory pistol grip 4-speed manual transmission and 383 cubic inch 4bbl. carburetor.

Thanks to a rear sway bar, increased wheelbase, and decreased length, the 1971 RoadRunners were superior handling cars to its predecessors.
Aerodynamics were much more improved thanks to this fuselage like shape and raked windshield.
